The Handmade Festival with Kirstie Allsopp returned to Hampton Court Palace this September and Olive and I were lucky enough to attend. Spending a sunshine filled Friday browsing the many lovely craft stalls, participating in a stamping workshop with The English Stamp Company and sampling are way round the delicious food stalls!
Summer is finally here in the U.K. with long warm evening and weekends spent lazing in the park enjoying a summer pimms or two! There are many ways you can bring a bit of that summer sunshine into your home too, just by packing away the many throw blankets to be replaced with lighter fabrics and pastel shades. With more and more people choosing to staycation this year than ever before, there are a couple of really simple changes that you can make to your home to bring on those holiday vibes.
One of my favourite things about soft furnishings for the home is texture and how that can be used to add contrast and variety to a space. At the moment I am loving any chunky knit cushion covers and throws, Pinterest is a great source of inspiration and is currently full of the most beautiful, soft knitted blankets and pillows (Check out Lauren Ashton for some serious chunky knit envy!).
