One of my favourite colour combos at the moment for is Pink and Green, in interiors especially I love the softness of powder pink against the intensity of Dark Green. This combination of Pink and Green decor can really help to add a touch of femininity to a room, as well as look super striking. The trend for these two colours together continues well into 2018 and therefore for Februarys colour inspiration I have pulled together some of my favourite pink and green images on Pinterest now. I love the pale pink tiles used in the kitchen below as well as the deep green of the cactuses against the powder pink wall.
I have recently signed up for an online interior design course and am so far loving it! I have always been interested in how different interior design ideas can be used to transform a space and can quite happily spend evenings looking at the latest design trends on Pinterest. Which is why I have put together the top 5 trends for 2018 that you should know if you are planning on having a massive interior overhaul this year or like me just looking to inject some newness and fresh ideas into your home. From 70s Terrazzo patterns to mixed metals and various shades of green, 2018 looks to be an exciting new take on some of our old favourites. I hope this post inspires you to inject a little newness into your home.
Buying for the home is definitely become one of my favourite things to do, I cannot resist another scented candle or a great coffee table book. I also really enjoying placing pieces together as ‘families’ and building up little stories whether its through colour or just a general mood. I am currently obsessing over all things Scandi, copper highlights and cute cactuses.
January- its that time of year again where we take a step back, and in my case grab a large mug of tea and a notebook and jot down our ideas and goals for the year ahead. With the dark evenings and wooly hat weather it is also the perfect time to a have a new year sort out- exciting I know! However a bit of decluttering can be good for the soul not to mention your home.
One of my favourite pieces of furniture has always been the trusty bookcase, I dream of one day owning a living room with a wall full of floor to ceiling book cases, squishy velvet armchairs and a warming log burning stove. I can quite easily spend hours arranging various knick knacks on the different shelfs and not to mention colour coordinating my entire book collection! Well styled shelves can make any room as well as of showoff your much loved titles and favourite pieces.
